This morning the Governor of Washington State made an announcement prohibiting gatherings of 250 people or more for events including social and sporting events in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. The restriction will remain in effect until March 31, 2020 unless extended beyond that date. Therefore, TCMA has no choice but to cancel the St. Paddy’s Day Run Tacoma on Saturday, March 14th. We understand the disappointment but in light of the public safety issues and crisis with the COVID-19 outbreak, we fully support this decision. The safety and well being of our running community, volunteers and city officials is our first priority. We will now be offering a St. Paddy’s Day Run Tacoma as a virtual race. An email will be sent out shortly to all registered participants with further details on how we will proceed forward. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding during this time.
